National Hunt only. A left-handed oval track of about a mile and a quarter, that has sharp bends and a short home straight, therefore favouring a handy, well-balanced type of horse. There is a run-in of 200 yards from the final obstacle to the finish. As the track stands on a clay surface it does not drain especially quickly, so the ground can become heavy during wet spells.
